Grass is Back

Wimbledon, is back, new features include a roof that can close when rain pours down on centre court. Rafael Nadal, the defending champion, has pulled out with an injury, so Fedex will fancy his chances of eclipsing Pistol Pete at SW19. But his task will be cut out. I think Federer's main rival could be Andy Murray, who is aiming to become the first Brit since Fred Perry to win Wimbledon. Another incentive for Andy is that he is sponsored by Fred Perry's brand.

Pakistan and Sri Lanka look to lay their hands on the t20 world cup, as expected, the Proteas went out CHOKING in the semi finals thus living up to the tag of chokers, n the Windies went out without giving a fight despite knockin' out the two teams that I had initially thought would contest the final, Australia and England.

The confederations cup looks to be another trophy for Spain, the way they are playing at the moment is absolutely breathtaking, Italy takes on Brazil in a crunch game on the morrow, lets hope the Azzurri tries to put up a fight.

India's cricket team to the West indies has been announced. It was wonderful to see Ashish Nehra back in the team. A few eyebrows were raised when M Vijay, a test specialist was given the nod. S badrinath and Abhishek Nayyar were always meant to get a look in to the India squad sooner rather than later. Lets hope Badri gets a few games under his belt.

Extemely shocking to see the number of pedigreed IIM pass outs from the class of 2009 to be benched, and their offers deferred to about 6 months. At this rate, India's premier institutions will have no takers as the return on investment would be vast. Ivy league seems a better option now. Time to get crackin, i mean BELLING.

Adieu folks!
